Implementation Options
Implementation of eShiftLog is very flexible and based on your requirements. eShiftLog can be installed on a single, standalone PC or on a network. A network-based implementation will allow multiple users to simultaneously access and update eShiftLog data.
If needed, eShiftLog can also be set up for remote access over a network or a dial up connection.
In most site, there are many more viewers of the data than there are data entry personnel.
Implementation Process
Installation is performed at your site by one of our trained consultants. The basic installation requires just a few days, this may be extended depending on the specific customization and training requirements at your port.
The basic installation procedure includes:
- Gather together all site requirements documentation
- Identify required hardware (server and user machines, see system technical requirements on the following page)
- Installation of database on server
- Installation of application on client machine(s)
- Adjust sample database parameters to meet specific site requirements
- Identification and training of primary user(s)
- eShiftLog end user training
- Official eShiftLog , go live launch
- STAIRS end user training
- Official STAIRS, go live launch
- Analyze data from eShiftLog using STAIRS to gain insight into possible port optimizations
- Apply the optimizations to the port and review the result through eShiftLog and STAIRS
Most sites will need some customization, so, we generally allow three weeks for these installations.
