System

STAIRS is a separate program to eShiftLog that supports:

bullet

Simple reporting

bullet

User defined reports

bullet

Data extracts (to various popular 3rd party programs.)

bullet

Locating and highlighting exceptional performance

bullet

Graphing trends for high level analysis and detailed separate analysis of individual performance factors

bullet

Analysis of underlying trend causes

bullet

Drilling down into detailed data to identify performance triggers

bullet

Reviewing of historical eShiftLog data, to provide advise on the best mix of resource assignment

The philosophy has been to include a few highly focused standard reports with a powerful system for the users to view and analyze data on-line.

Visual Data Analysis Assistant

eShiftLog provides a very flexible Data Summary report.  Once you select the report, a display of crane usages for the previous day is shown

Usage / Outage Summary Report – Showing Data

The main points of interest on this screen are:

  1. Tab for selecting the data to display
  2. Tab to see the data
  3. The data display

STAIRS – Expert Adviser

There are many factors that will affect the performance of an individual crane run sequence.  Some of these factors are beyond our control such as which vessel is in port and the weather.  However, other factors such as the crane(s) and teams to use are within our control.

The fixed factors (those beyond your control) are entered into the Expert Adviser. Expert Adviser will review historical data and identify the best combination of resource assignments that have worked well in the past with the specified combination.  Expert Adviser will also display those combinations that have not worked well in the past, and may best be avoided.

An example sample report from the Expert Adviser could read similar to:

This can also be a helpful tool when it comes time to renegotiate contracts, so you know what vessels work well and what ones you have little room to move on.
