Shift Screen

Events Screen

The events screen is used to provide a graphical display and entry of the events that occurred on a given shift:

Events Screen – Gantt Chart

The Events Screen is the primary eShiftLog Screen.  This screen uses a traditional Gantt chart view of the shift events.  Points of note on this screen are:

bulletThe top of the screen is the same as the “Shift” and the
 “Ships and Cranes” screens.
bulletHours are shown across the top of the display
(date is shown on left and right sides).
bulletVessels are shown in light blue lines,
with dark blue triangles used for ship events.
bulletCranes used on the ships are shown in green.
bulletDelay color depends on the delay
bullet

Delays before the crane starts use are shown in gray (this shows setup work)

bullet

Delays after the crane finishes use are shown in gray (this shows tidyup work)

bullet

Delays while the crane is in use that are deducted from the crane usage are in pink

bullet

Delays while the crane is in use that are NOT deducted from the crane usage are in red

This screen provides a simple drag and drop user interface to move events.  When you select an event, a context sensitive menu for the event, ship, crane or delay is displayed that lists all of the tasks that can be performed on the selected object.

Ships and Cranes Screen

The Ships and Cranes screen is an alternative tabular view of the same data that is shown on the Events (Gantt chart) screen.

The Seven Day report is a single page snapshot of the terminal activity in the last week:

Seven Day report

The 7-Day Graphical Report Set provides a highly graphical quick snapshot of the business in a set of related charts:

bulletControl chart displayed with containers per hour up the left hand side and the days (and shifts) of the week on the X axis.
bulletA compacted Gantt chart shows which cranes were used and their delays.
bulletThe vessels in port are also shown in a Gantt chart format.
bulletCrane working hours are shown for each shift.
bulletNumber of containers exchanged for each shift is shown.

Cross Tab Report

Note: Cross Tab reports are also known in some systems as “Contingency Tables”, “Matrix Reports” or “Pivot Tables”.

This report provides the user with the facility to tabulate one variable against another to produce a “cross tabulation”.  This is used to look for interaction between the two variables to find situations where the specific combination of the two variables affects performance positively or negatively.

Cross Tab report

This cross tab compares crane productivity (CPH) on different days of the week  The color coding is used to highlight high/low performance.

Scatter Graph Reports

This report provides the user with the facility to compare one variable against another to produce a picture, to see if changing one variable tends to effect the other variable either positively or negatively.
